Sustainable Speaking Strategy

Though my management and coaching is specialized to every speaker, based on their current platform, target audience, objectives, and goals, I focus on developing these three main pillars that comprise my Sustainable Speaking Strategy.

Pillar 1: Speaker Assets, Branding, & Positioning

This pillar focuses on developing and refining the speaker's assets, which includes their biography, speaking topics, and overall brand as a speaker. It also involves identifying their target audience and creating assets that position themselves strategically within the speaking market.

  • Crafting a Compelling Speaker Biography: A biography that highlights the speaker's expertise, experience, and unique story.

  • Identifying the Target Audience: Understanding the demographics, interests, and needs of the speaker's ideal audience.

  • Developing Engaging Speaking Topics: Identifying topics that are relevant to the speaker's expertise and resonate with their target audience.

  • Building a Strong Speaker Brand: Creating a consistent brand identity that reflects the speaker's personality, values and expertise.

  • Creating a Speaker Reel and Promotional Materials: A video reel that showcases the speaker's skills and developing promotional materials that highlight their expertise.

Pillar 2: Unique Go-to-Market Plan to Drive Strategic AND Paid Speaking

This pillar focuses on creating a customized go-to-market plan that helps the speaker secure both strategic and paid speaking engagements.

  • Strategic Positioning: Identifying the speaker's unique selling proposition and positioning them effectively within the speaking market.

  • Strategic Speaking Engagements: Targeting speaking engagements that align with the speaker's goals and objectives, but may not necessarily generate direct income. They should generate leads, subscribers, and eventual income.

  • Developing a Pricing Strategy: Setting fees for speaking engagements that are competitive and reflect the speaker's value.

  • Paid Speaking Engagements: How to generate more speaking engagements that generate direct income for the speaker.

  • Building Relationships with Event Planners and Bureaus: Networking with event planners and speaker bureaus to secure more engagements.

Pillar 3: Scaling Beyond Speaking - How to Convert Audiences into Customers

This pillar focuses on helping the speaker leverage their speaking engagements to generate additional revenue streams and build their business.

  • Creating Products and Services: Developing products and services that complement the speaker's speaking topics and provide value to their audience.

  • Developing a Sales Funnel: Creating a system for converting audience members into customers.

  • Building an Email List: Collecting email addresses from audience members to stay in touch and promote products and services.

  • Leveraging Social Media: Using social media and repurposed content  to connect with audience members and promote the speaker's business.

  • Creating a Membership Program: One example of an offering based on exclusive content and benefits to audience members who join a program.

By focusing on these three pillars, speakers can develop a sustainable speaking strategy that helps them achieve their goals and build a successful business.
